Virtual meeting

Every week on Thursdays, a group of academics/researchers from across the world come together for an hour in a 3D virtual world Second Life as avatars to discuss on a topic of mutual research interest. There is audio and text chat facility. This photo is from the event of this evening that I attended. Having a virtual meeting such as this enables us to interact from our computers without having to travel and we can see each other as persons (avatars).
