The same but a little bit different

Minnie returned to the vets this morning. Bandage #1 was removed and whilst her paw looked slightly less angry it's clear it's still a long way from healing. The plan is to keep it bandaged for another week then, if all goes well, transition to removing the bandage but adding a 'hood/collar' to allow air to aid the healing whilst preventing Minnie from licking it. Both of the foreseeable options require her to keep the paw dry which essentially means keeping her indoors. Aaarghh!! She's going nuts already. There was mention by the vet the healing could take 8-10 weeks so it's looking like I won't be doing my North Island roadie this summer - there's no way I'd expect a house-sitter to take on such involved cat-care. For now though, Minnie just has to get used to the blue bandage and more indoor time.
