Chim-Chim-eny Chim Chim Cha-roo

Mary Poppins came to mind when looking out over the London rooftops. While fitting glass in a million pound flat I couldn't help but take the opportunity to snap this view.

It got me thinking how many chimney sweeps there must have been! Climbing up on and around the rooftops enjoying the same view (minus the abundance of shiny high rise), every day of the working week. It must have been a relatively enjoyable job, with the fresh(er) air, wide open sky, space and freedom, in comparison the the smoggy, cramped, busy, sewer filled bustle of the streets.
