Shepherd's Warning

First of all, thanks so much for all my birthday wishes yesterday, what a great bunch you all are!

Had such a bad night, basically planning how we can seat and feed 13 (heard it's 15 now, typical!) Brazilians, plus us, on Saturday - with a very small cooker and kitchen, and too cold to use outside... So, ended up getting up in the dark, no point lying in bed. Mike and I were chatting, when he suddenly exclaimed, Look! - the whole round window above the sink was flaming pink.

By the time I opened the door and got outside, it was more orange, but still breathtaking. This was the colour out of the camera. You can see the lights still on in town. We waited to see the sun, but it never appeared, too much cloud. No rain, though, so not sure what the warning was about.
