West Shore Window
After a morning of more post-festive sorting, the late afternoon sees clearer skies and there’s a welcome window when the rain stops falling.
We head to West Shore where the clouds towering over the Carneddau look almost apocalyptic - dark and bruised, with hints of red suggesting something otherworldly is going on deep within the mountains.
But to the north east there’s a brief clearing of the skies, allowing softer, brighter light onto the wet sands of the retreating tide. The sea is stormy, whipped up by the remnants of the storm, but the shimmering sands seems almost smooth and opalescent as they reflect the pastel colours of the fast sinking sun, just channels of standing water ruffled by brisk winds.
I’ve gone with a wider shot for my main, with a narrower view in extras - though I’m unsure which I like the best. Then there’s the ‘apocalyptic’ view across the mountains. I may well change ….
