Much-needed morning walk

After sleeping through the alarm and the subsequent mad dash, I managed to drop off our eldest at the bus station at stupid o'clock this morning to catch the bus to Belfast for an onward trip to the west coast of Ireland for a New Year bash with a group of friends. Sounds like it's going to be lots of fun for them! This is the beginning of the emptying of the house again after Christmas. I have very mixed feelings - always sad to see them go, but a tiny bit looking forward to order being restored! We still have the other two for a few days yet though. After the bus dash, I got home and had the remains of the panettone and coffee for breakfast (quite relieved that we have finally waded through most of the sweet stuff!) and then we went out for a walk and some much-needed fresh air and sunlight. It's a beautiful day here - cold and bright and a welcome respite from the persistently wet, dark, stormy weather of late.
