Twixmas/ Chrimbo Limbo

Back to swimming after a week away. It was quiet, 10-12 swimmers over the 5 lanes. Most pleasant.

A bright, dry morning but very wind. Yesterday evening without warning we had a brief but wild storm blow through. The air pressure dropped, a fierce wind got up, bright lightening lit up the dark sky which was instantly followed by a roar of thunder; twice more moving further away until all was still! Mad.

This morning I started watching Out of Africa on the telly while eating breakfast. After 90 mins I was ready to go out to shop. I didn’t fancy facing the strong chilly wind walking North to Moortown so took a bus into town. It was busier and more cheery there than my pre-xmas visit.

Back home by lunchtime. The recent storms have give our front door wreath a battering, it is looking ravaged.
