Still Neglected

Forlorn, neglected,
Abandoned and desolate
A home no longer.

This bungalow has been in a derelict state for quite a few years - I have blipped it before. I can't understand why it has taken so long to acquire the land either for renovation or development.
There is now, though, a planning notice on the fence to say permission is sought for its demolition and the building of eight new dwellings on the site.  It's a good size plot - but eight houses?!
