Hello old friend

Sarah was working from home today so Chris and I had a day out together. First, he had a couple of hours at the climbing wall while I went for a walk, and then we drove the short distance to Standen, which is my very favourite National Trust house. https://www.nationaltrustcollections.org.uk/place/standen-house-and-garden I haven’t been for 8 years, so it was lovely to see some old favourites, like this beautiful William de Morgan bowl. It was given to the Beales on their Silver wedding anniversary by their children.

Just up the road, we had driven past a table of pots outside a house , so we walked back to have a better look and met the potter who had made them. When Sarah had finished work, we all went to have tea with Chris’s Mum and then had a takeaway tea.
