SAVING MRS. HCB!
Hello Lovely Blippers,
Santa Leighton here - and can you believe it is Silly Saturday again?
We have been all mixed up with our days this week because Christmas Day was on Monday, and of course, I was very busy with all the elves and reindeer and we just don't know where we are.
Well, we know we are back in Swindon and Mr. HCB has been heard muttering that he won't be going over any bridge into Wales for a long time!
Something else you won't believe is how much chocolate and other goodies Mrs. HCB was given for Christmas and her birthday - and you all know that she is a chocoholic, so we decided that we would have an outdoor picnic to help her out.
You have heard of "saving the planet", well, as kind members of the Silly Saturday Gang, we are "saving Mrs. HCB"! We know that dear Admirer would approve of our resolve and helpfulness and it might even bring a smile to her face.
We know that the HCBs are going out to meet their older grandson and his girlfriend today, but they aren't very keen on having their photograph taken, so we decided that we would have our "Choc and Bic picnic" before they leave to go and meet them.
Mind you, a lot of the Best Before dates on the chocolates are March, April and May and some even later in the year, but you know Mrs. HCB, if she even sniffs out the chocolates, a boxful will be gone in an evening, which is why we are helping her out.
We heard her telling Mr. HCB that she has this campaign to "DO MORE IN '24" so it would be rude not to help her, wouldn't it?
We hope you have a great day today - if you live anywhere near, do drop in for a chocolate or a biscuit and perhaps even a hot chocolate with marshmallows - and know that if you do, you too will be "saving Mrs. HCB"!
Happy Saturday to you all and don't forget "Kindness costs nothing" so BE KIND to all you meet - because you never know what they are going through and especially at this time of year.
Love from Santa Leighton and the rest of the Silly Saturday Gang xxx
P.S. We have heard news about Kevin the Koala and the other members of the Silly Saturday Gang who are presently in Australia - they are having some dreadful weather over there too, so we hope they are all keeping safe. I expect they miss seeing us all, but will have lots to tell us when they return.
