Yesterday's technology

Our air conditioning has stopped working. Of course the service company is closed for the New Year holiday, but they had a technician on call and he came to assess the problem very promptly. All went well until he established that the unit needed gas. The gas was at the office, which of course was closed, it being the New Year holiday…
 
So we got out the fan. Really fans are extraordinarily comforting when it’s hot and the air conditioning isn’t working.
