Day eight in the country.

Temperature about -5 also today. In the evening it began blowing and sleeting.

We were at my mother's almost all day. She had at last had a hearing aid after waiting almost a year. How nice it was to talk, when she heard much more of what was said.

In the picture there are two "tonttus" warming themselves up by the candle on our windowsill. I have made them almost thirty years ago.  Quite soon after I and Mr S moved together. The tonttus know this village, they have been here before, during years 2000-2006, in the cottage we then had. You may see that a bigger tonttu's grab is wounded. We had some mice in the cottage, of course, it was an old house. They had eaten some of the tonttu's hand when they both were in the attic, in store.
