Pizza Action
The River Wye around Ross on Wye (Herefordshire, UK) has burst it's banks and flooded fields. I've seen it a lot worse but it's usually later in January and February. It's gone down as it was over the road, but the swans were still able to float over the riverbank footpath (see extra)
The Hope and Anchor Pub on the riverbank was closed for years due to the contant flooding. A businessman has refurbished it and it's now well frequented - Mrs BB had her works Christmas party there this month and says it was the best she's been too. I understand he's fitted some flood defences so hopefully he'll beat nature!
Just outside the pub, two chefs had fired up what looks like pizza ovens and were stood waiting for them to cook and were happy for me to take their photo'. The outdoor cafe was open with a couple being served.
We're out in Ross on Wye with friends and neighbours tonight. Like them we're going a bit stir crazy having not been out for a bit. I'll have a pizza - it will make a nice change from Turkey!
