Jess
Today was the first non-rushed opportunity, that all the family has been together at home, for us to bury Jess's ashes. She's beneath the silver birch at the bottom of the garden.
It was quite emotional, but nice to pause and remember her. I said a few unrehearsed words which made me and everyone else cry, Ben, with the help of AI, had written a poem, and we all built a little mound of stones over the ashes in a break from the rain. Martin produced some cans of this beer which was a gift from Sam last Christmas - for each of the boys.
The afternoon was spent driving James to the station and Sam to Brighton. Ben's gone to Norfolk for New Year.
Photos from the last few days here.
