Giggly girls

An important visit this morning from Grace and John’s builder Keith, as they hope to start on phase two of house modifications later in the year.

After he’d been we were determined to get out for a walk. Windy but no rain but we decided not to climb the hill (Little Solsbury) as it would have been very muddy and a bit much before a long drive home. Instead we did a circuit below the hill, along Bailbrook Lane and up along ‘the Cliff’ as it’s called, above Batheaston. We then doubled back across a field and up Solsbury Lane to Swainswick Lane, which we normally cross when going up the hill, and which runs along above their house.
Eda had taken a red dragon with her and we started doing a game of hide the dragon, great fun - extra, John had even taken some foil covered chocolate pennies to hide too.
Here, Eda decided she wanted to get into a gap in the hedge and have her picture taken and then encouraged Jude to join her, they couldn't stop giggling!

We returned for lunch before our journey home.

This morning we played a new ‘Guess Who’ I’d bought for Eda  whilst we had breakfast - Extra. Based on animals, which she loves, she won both games, she is very astute at questioning. We did go on to a third game but Eda insisted that her fish card was a ghost so the question ‘ can it swim’ was incorrectly answered skewing the resulting elimination!

We’ve had a fabulous few days.

We are now home, a good journey and not too busy and no rain till we got onto the M62 in Yorkshire. Typical!
