Half way point
A better night sleep as the wind had died down considerably.
Although as I write this evening it’s got quite gusty and wet again.
We (me and the doggies) had a good day unpacking and getting a bit more organised. However until the furniture arrives on Wednesday and the boxes with all the contents, my make do set of cutlery, plates and mugs are not taking up much cupboard space.
Callum has tackled the biggest job today back in Sandy, packing up the kitchen cupboard contents. He sounded quite peed off when I spoke to him mid morning, but he did offer…..
I have a feeling many half full jars of things like spices, oil and the like are not going to re-appear!
Yesterday I met some neighbours, and today, she knocked the door asking if I wanted anything from the supermarket as she knew I am without any transport for a couple of days, which I thought was very kind of her.
I took the dogs out a different direction this morning, along the side of the railway on a path that leads passed the allotments. I thought I might get a decent blip of them but they are all surrounded by fence or mesh wire, so that didn’t work.
When I got to the bottom of the lane, I met a chap with his dog walking towards me, so I asked him if I could "do a loop" rather than just walk back the way I came.
He pointed us through the bridge under the railway, to the main road and turn left. So we followed his directions and got back just before the rain started. It’s probably only a 40 minute route, but as it was all new sniffs, and a very popular dog walking route, it took us nearly an hour.
I started the list of who to advise of change of address, but don’t think there is much point getting too involved in that until early next week, as of course we are into another bank holiday weekend / couple of days now so even if it’s done online it will all be automated replies.
But I do at least have the list ready!
Comments back on. I am missing the interaction!
