Christmas Tree Bread!

A busy morning of last minute present wrapping, and preparing the table and food for our visitor, an elderly family friend who comes for Christmas lunch every year. Smoked salmon with trimmings for starters, followed by  Duck Legs in a Spiced Redcurrant and Port Jus with six veg, pigs in blankets and stuffing balls. For pudding, a Double Chocolate Semifreddo Igloo, which was my intended blip for today. However I was very disappointed to find that the little penguin had shattered into tiny pieces. So instead a back up blip of our Merry Christmas Bread. After the meal, presents, and watching the carol service from Westminster Abbey, and six hours later, our visitor left feeling quite content. A cosy day that felt like Christmas all over again.
