Lightning Strike
The first leg of our trip south to Oakland/San Francisco started today. We drove down hwy101 along the west coast. It was a beautiful day. Stopped at many scenic places along the way but the Lady Bird Johnson Grove in the Redwood National Park was the most memorable. Since Glenn can't walk well, I had to make the 1.4 mile trek by myself. It was amazing. So peaceful. This is a shot of a giant redwood that had been hit by lightning. Traveled on to his brothers place where we were staying the night. Had a wonderful dinner then slept in the most uncomfortable bed EVER! We appreciated him letting us stay but probably won't be stopping on our way home.
Happy Sunday
