The Newport bull
Also known as The Bell Carrier, this sculpture by Sebastian Boyesen was unveiled in 1996, commemorating the tale of St Gwynllyw, the 5th-century patron saint of Newport.
The story goes that Gwynllyw was converted to Christianity, and the sculpture itself marks the dream in which the king was ordered to find a white ox with a black spot on its forehead and establish a church on the site.
