Make up....

I only have to look away for 5 minutes and Meg will get upto something or other....

This evening Meg and Ruby were in and out of the house, the front door banging open or slamming shut every few minutes, the TV still on; the annoying 'iCarly' or 'Victorious' blaring from the lounge....Sarah & Sam are at kickboxing (Jess is in France), a normal evening.

We moved to our current home just over a year ago and it was the best decision we've made for years. One of the main reasons being that the kids can now play out....no longer trapped by busy roads with speeding traffic in an area with no local play facilities, resigned to video games and TV.

It's great that our kids now spend so much time outside playing, making friends, playing games, being active, just like I did as a child.....

....however, one of the few minor annoyances that comes with having great space to play out....is that all the kids play out....!!

I can hear the local kids playing outside, well I can hear Megan, her voice more than any other seems to rise above the general din....I can't tell if it's an argument or just 'regular' shouting....the difference is subtle but significant.

Today....it was an argument....well, Meg was arguing....

For a little unit, she is an indomitable character....this time it was an argument over makeup, which she has been 'borrowing' (as you can see)....it's all so tragic, everyone has fallen out, they aren't friends any more :(

Don't worry though, this happens every other evening....it happens loads on a weekend....they will all make up tomorrow ;)
