Butter wouldn't melt?

When we get here he races up the bank (about a metre above the footpath) and then looks at me, waiting for me to say «Allez, chassez les lapins !»

As you can see butter would not melt in his mouth, though he would kill any rabbit if he caught one. So far he's caught three and I'm confident killed one, and would have killed the other two if I've not intervened. And on one occasion he detached a rabbit tail from the rabbit. People think poodles are silly little lap dogs, but they are hunting dogs with a strong hunting instinct!
