Sunset

The last sun setting of 2023.

To Wilson's Butchers in Corstorphine this morning & got Thee steak pie - will do more than one day. Phew, didn't have to make one! Although by myself, still feel that New Year's Day is traditional steak pie day & remembering Mum used to make one for all the family. We used to get one from the farm or butchers if doing New Year. Keeping the family tradition going. It is hard to treat yourself especially when always cooking for self.

Remembering those with us in spirit & nature.

Had my last coffee & scone at Cloudberry's Café today for 2023.

Walk upriver from Old Cramond Brig to Grotto Bridge then on through Cammo Nature Reserve.

Saw the kingfishers at the wetlands but will need a camera rather than the cameraphone to see them clearly. Good to see, used to see them whizz along the curling pond but this one was on the rope then in the reeds then flying off to a bush.

Already in my PJs for evening Hogmanay TV & to listen to some music but may be in bed before the bells. Enjoy whatever you are doing overnight.
