Serenade.

One of our resident Blackbirds is staking his claim to his mates and his territory on this recently pruned tree next door.
If left to its own devices, this tree and its companions would take over both our neighbours garden and ours. They are of no special habitat importance in this area, particularly when compared with the ivy that climbs over our kitchen wall and needs a day's attention, twice a year, to prevent it taking the roof off. The Autumn pruning always reveals several bird's nests and the flowers provide late nectar for many insects and pollen for any honey bees in the area.
