High water, Clifford’s tower

A drier day, though as everywhere was sodden underfoot we had a walk round the city walls. Despite living on the edge of York (or maybe because it’s on the doorstep?) my folks hadn’t done this since before COVID - and for me it was even longer! We dropped off the walls at Monk Bar and found a great little gelato and coffee shop.

For anyone that doesn’t know York, this is usually a small riverside park near to Clifford’s tower - but the river is flooded (as it often is, though this was close to as high as we’ve seen it)
