Lucky Duckies

Cleaning out my car, I found an unscratched scratch card down the side of the driver’s seat. I was suspicious straight away as I never buy scratch cards and a quick read of the back of the card confirmed my thoughts when it revealed that prizes could only be claimed with a magic fairy or a genie’s lamp.
I guessed that rubbing off the silver paint would indeed reveal three ducks and the top prize of thousands of pounds, so I gave it to Hilary to scratch as “she is luckier than me”.
She didn’t fall for it and handed it back saying good joke.
My mate Bruce is the most likely culprit as I was giving him lifts for most of last year following the suspension of his driving license. This is how mates repay kindness.
