The first sunrise of 2024

The first morning of 2024 was even colder than the last morning of 2023.  The thermometer read -20 C when I woke up, so after breakfast I jumped back into my photowalk shoes and went to enjoy the cold temperatures and colors of the morning twilight. In the extra photos, two more pictures of my magical home forest, where the pine trees cracked from the force of the frost. There was also some wind blowing off the lake, so the air felt even colder, but as always, surviving these temperatures is all about wearing the right clothes.
