2023 draws to a close

We drove to Ulverston giving thanks for the blessings of 2023 and acknowledging the tougher parts. The blessings were many - incredible trips to Ibiza, Greece, NY and Anglesey, God’s comfort and kindness when sorrow came, friends, family, birthdays (including a big one for me), the completion of home renovations, Eve completing primary school and smashing her first term at senior school, the boys joining and loving sports teams. I’m sure there’s loads more we’ve forgotten about. And of course saying goodbye to Ant’s Mom, the children’s beloved Nanny, weaved a thread of sorrow through 2023 and changed us all as love and loss do. It still feels a bit unreal - I don’t really have the words just yet.

Grateful for our many blessings and a gentle end to 2023 with kind friends in the lakes.
