Christmas boxed
and put away until next year.
Tired and groggy after two days of revels, this annual exercise of dismantling Christmas felt like hard work. As did a short trip into town for supplies.Did toast some panettone which I have to say was absolutely gorgeous. Other than that we’re done with Christmas food.
Now beginneth the two long months of winter that giveth least content.
January and February do sorely test our mettle;
Increasingly we seek the solace of the kettle.
Temperatures and funds both sink so low
That we must huddle under blankets in the snow.
Hibernation time methinks.
