The odd couple

Lots of my favourite birds at James Hamilton Heritage Park today - cormorant in a tree, a rather mismatched grey lag goose and a merganser, a matched male and female merganser, tufted ducks and lapwing. Bright and busy with many walkers.

Followed by a good new year lunch with mum and sis - steak pie, caramel tart and Derby Cafe ice cream!
