Cosy and content!

Spent all day getting as much admin done and as many lessons planned as I could. Two of our science teachers left at Christmas and it’s proved impossible to recruit any new ones so we’ve had to have an almost complete jig-around of our classes and timetables - pretty much feels like September again.

There are still quite a few things I won’t have any idea about until our department meeting when we go back, which is quite stressful as I’d hoped to use the past couple of weeks to start getting ahead. No matter how hard I tried not to think about work, I’ve had nightmares about it literally every night of the holidays, plus some bad bouts of insomnia - not sure which was worse?!?

I’m feeling a lot better now, though, as I got so much done today. It’s quite comforting to listen to the wind and rain while nice and cosy in front of the fire and I think I’ll sleep well tonight!
