Watching the box, in a box
We had to get a new shelf from Ikea, amd despite some wonderful Christmas presents, they still love a box!!!
We needed to get out this afternoon, the boys wanted to go to some local woods on their bikes, we got there around 3, which was fine, car park packed, and we're the very last to leave. They both cycled beautifully and the eldest is so confident (amazing, as it took him a while to crack it). We were rather worried as we thought the car park closed at 4, or dusk, whichever, we were back in the dark at 5pm. Thankfully, the gates were still open.
The dog has barely left his bed, I asked him if he wanted a walk this evening and for the first time ever he didn't look interested!
In other news, the first responder who came to our rescue in May '21 has received a BEM in the New Year's honours. I wrote a citation in support of the overall citation / nomination a while ago, so it's wonderful it has all come together. He has given over 41,000 hours of first responder service and attended over 4,100 call outs. Pretty impressive, delighted at someone so deserving had been recognised.
