Townsend's Warbler

I feel very fortunate to start the new year off with a new to me bird species, the Townsend's Warbler.
We attended a gathering at a friend's house to celebrate the New Year this afternoon. 
One of the guests pointed this songbird out to me as it splashed about in a backyard water feature. 
What a pleasant treat it was for me to meet a new bird.
