New Year’s Eve!

A peaceful start to the day.  We cleaned and tidied up and got the room ready for our visitor who joined us.  Colleague and friend who’s had a break up and has come to stay for a couple of days. Actually lovely for us to see in the new year with someone given we were planning a quiet one. 

We had a meal delivered from St John restaurant via Dishpatch and it was absolutely excellent.  It easily spread to food for three.   After that we sat around the fire and talked, watched Hootenanny, saw the fireworks in London, embraced and all went off to bed.
