St Mary's Abbey

The flat went for a (slightly cold) picnic in the York Museum's gardens today. We ate in the shadows of these impressive ruins which used to be part of St. Mary's Abbey which was built in around 1088. Attractions like this make me realise how lucky I am to be studying history in such an impressive and old city.
