Well this was supposed to be January 1st blip but for some reason i couldnt send it so its going to be todays as it has never stopped raining since 10am.
We took Tanzy a walk and it was just spitting when we got back to the car.. By the time we got to Tescos it was raining heavy and its never stopped.

The fields look like a mini Lake District they are so waterlogged. The road to Fairburn which passes the RSPB is flooded as is Barnsdale Road into Castleford so anyone going or coming back have to make a 20 mile detour. Including the buses. The car salesman has to move all his cars when he gets a call to say the river Aire is peaking then he informs all who are on the Facebook group Barnsdale Road Flood Alert. The police do put barriers up and signs.
But there is always someone who thinks they can get through then the lads with the 4x4s go pull them out, for a fee, last time there was a Kingsmill bread van stuck till it went down.

Hope you all had a good New Years Eve. Ours was quiet we watched the Royal Variety Show on catchup then Jules Holland and the fireworks.
