A Tree King

An early start for us (07:30) to travel to Doncaster to collect the granddaughters.

After collecting them..and a boot full of clothes, boots, coat, hats, teddy bears and some food, we left mum to sleep after her night shift..she has three on the trot which is why we have the children!

We called at Costa for ‘brunch’ and then headed to Nostell Priory (National Trust)..by which time it had started raining. I spotted this old tree - thought it looked like a mad old king (with a crown) waving his arms about!

So we had a very squelchy walk through the woods and playground..before heading into the house, where the Christmas displays were up for the last day. The girls had fun spotting the fairies that were hiding in the rooms.

Back home for a late lunch/snack before sitting playing with toys and games - it rained all afternoon. I retrieved a very large box of K’nex from the loft and that has been well received.
