Blue
'Blue' is the theme for today's TinyTuesday, bravely hosted by Ilja with the help of GoogleTranslate - thank you so much, Ilja.
So today was another Storm Henk wet and very windy one. Definitely not a bird blip day around here! Instead I went to the cathedral to find a mini blue shot and decided to look again at the Scribes & Kings exhibition. When I went last time, in 2019, it had only just opened and photography wasn't allowed, but today all that has changed. On the top floor I found a few wonderful and very precious pieces of blue glass that came from the windows of Old Minster, the huge 7th Century church built on what is now the site of Winchester Cathedral. This is one of them, about 4cm from top to bottom. (The white border around it, by the way, is nothing to do with me, just the way chosen to exhibit it).
Not a lot else about today. J and I have sorted out an online course for K as her little new dog, although absolutely sweet, does have some rather bad habits that need changing. And we have also ordered a new put-you-up bed as sleeping arrangements clearly need improving ;)) Beyond that, life goes on happily here, as I hope it does for you.
xx
