Diary of an Edinburgher

BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Gosh, I got a LOT done today! I SPRUNG into action!! The capsule wardrobe is more or less sorted. Nothing actually packed yet, but I was pleased that I made a start.

I started with trying to book two extra nights in Brisbane, due to our plans changing. They have yet to get back to me…

Hazel's son (who works in aviation) told us that we MUST book our seats and pay for them now. Or we may not even be sitting near each other, let alone together. And it's a very long way. And what's another few hundred ££££s on to our total... AND they've advised us to join BA Air Miles. And we can use our South Africa miles from September. This is all new to us...

I also started to fill in the rather intimidating 6 page Medical Information Form for assistance at Doha Airport. It completely put me off, but actually, once I looked at it, there were only rwo pages to be filled in, one by the doctor. And as I had an appointment on Thursday that I was going to cancel, I can bring my iPad to her then. I have filled it in for her, and just need her signature (and for her to check it, of course). It's really for very ill people who need all sorts of medical help, so mine was straightforward.

We managed out for a walk in the afternoon, and then I was a flurry of trying things on (making sure they still fitted), and checking if JR approved of them. Some items were just dismissed as inappropriate.

I rang Christine to check how she was feeling today after her 'food poisoning'. Luckily her illness was just a day. She's fully recovered and eager to set off (at 3.30am tomorrow...)

Even more action tomorrow!!
