Its mate had just flown off

Some reading, some gardening, some looking at tiles, and one walk along the lower pipeline. It was there that I heard two Kereru flying just above me.  Unusually, I quickly located them and this one in particular remained in ejnough sunlight to permit a series of good photos.

Early in my walk I saw a song thrush close enough for a decent photo, and towards the end I saw a Greenfinch, just the second I have taken a photo of since 2022.
