Too hot to move today, 32+ degrees and as I write it's still 30.
This morning I looked round with the macro lens and a kite flew over. Very much the wrong lens but I tried. This butterfly was cooling in the shade, perhaps a bit too much of it. There were quite a few obliging dragonflies but too jumpy to get the shot I wanted.
I noticed we have kittens hiding somewhere near the barn. We can't let the dogs out that side now.
I'll have to water the dogs again. The mosquito population had been hit by their anti-tick treatment which is pyrethrum largely. It's cheaper and works better that the more modern varieties we find.
