Astley Lake has a new nest!

I actually wonder how this solitary egg will hatch as the nest is only built on the Lily Pads. The egg is virtually in the water and I caught a rare glance when neither bird was sat on it. They both seemed to be trying to nest build again, even though they have been there for about 2 weeks now.
