Finer qualities

I went to church in search of a pious woman, and found several. I had expected a halo to be the nearest I got to the hat of the DDW challenge, but no, managed varied headgear as well, so can polish my own halo.

So, this window in memory of Anne Rochester Dalgliesh shows the finer qualities of wife/motherhood, of which the last 4 of 6 are:
1. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor, as in the case of St Elizabeth of Hungary, with her headdress and crown
2. She seeketh wool and flax and worketh willingly wiith her hand, as St Ursula, patron saint of seamstresses, depicted here in medieval garb and a very natty shaped hat
3. She openeth her mouth with wisdom and in her tongue is the law of kindness, as in Elizabeth Fry, working with prisoners and distressed folk, in a rather severe frilled front white bonnet
4. She girdeth her loins with strength, as in Florence Nightingale, but not forgetting to position her candle and white cap first
