Allan Bank, Grasmere. Once the home of William Wordsworth. Later, Canon Rawnsley founder of the National Trust bought it and it’s now owned by the NT. The grounds are home to red squirrels.
With mixed weather forecast for today (and better for the next few) I decided to take the Christmas tree and decorations down. I vacuumed and dusted later.
I was in Grasmere to shop at the Co-op (because it’s usually easier to park nearby than at the Ambleside store) and combine it with a short blip walk. I took the photo during the one bit of brighter weather :) There was some rain too.
