All puffed up

This Southern Red Bishop was a busy bird today. He puffed himself up, did his courtship dance by moving up and down, and chirped non stop. Sadly he didn't seem to have many ladies taking any notice of him. The extra shows him at the feeder in between trying for a mate. He looks quite different!
I spent a long time watching the birds at the feeders today - I find them fascinating with their different colours, habits, and calls.
It was a sunny day today so I did a couple of loads of washing, some housework, and this afternoon friends came for a visit.
