Security Is Having Someone To Lean On.
Today’s entry features some artworks hanging on an original wall in our kitchen dining area. The title comes from the text on the card shown in the thumbnail.
The painting is very much about chance in our lives. The artist is Lars Stenberg who now lives in Ballarat, Australia. This particular painting is one of two which we purchased at Lar’s Grauduation Collection in 1985.
I have been looking at the flood photographs affecting many areas in England. They are published in The Guardian Newspaper.
Flood water is so damaging to people’s property and the disruption to every day living.
I do wonder how much the flooding has been increased by a lack of maintenance to field drainage ditches, road gullies and other means of conducting water to the rivers and sea.
I also wonder how much flooding could be controlled by constructing proper flood defences in towns and villages.
In a postscript to yesterday’s entry I have added an extra photograph showing more of the building in context.
Thank you to amandoAletenjo for this link. It is a sermon by Lutheran Pastor Munther Isaac. I recommend that you listen to the message contained therein.

He expresses the thoughts that Pat and I have been discussing over the past few weeks.
