Silk Town

Our nearest town is Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands. It is a market town  and granted a Royal Charter in the 13th century. It was famous as a silk town with many large mills. It also had connections with William Morris.
Some of the mills have been converted into apartments but some are still unused and empty.
