Successful...

I saw this barn owl yesterday. It was out hunting in the afternoon - probably very hungry after all the recent rubbish weather. It had a spectacular spat with a kestrel - barnie kept the food & kes flew away grumpy. I didn't have my camera out & just watched.

I went back around the same time today & out it came again. No kes this time & after a successful hunt, it went back to where it roosts. Grotty light but wonderful to watch as always.
