The Nutcases
They were on great form this morning and it was hard to leave ... but leave we had to.
We stopped off outside York and spent some time with old friends.
John was the first of my colleagues on the scene when I was hit by the car (frightening to think that was December 1976).
There were a couple of rural roads on the way to the motorway north that were closed dur to flooding which caused some head scratching since there were no diversions. Not helped by the cars sat-nav insisting on trying to take us to the A19 .... even when we managed to find motorway.
The rain/fog/clouds started at Scotch corner as we turned onto the A66 ..... and stopped when we turned off it at Penrith.
We were only just home when Bags phoned ..... could we do some babysitting and taxi duties tomorrow.
So much foa a day of doing nothing.
