The Entertainer

Well I said goodby to another close friend from the caravan site today, Frank. He is the gentleman in the middle. This was the last time he entertained us in the bar onsite.
He was singing Country Roads which was one of his favourites.
In my early years at the caravan site, a group of musicians, of which Frank took centre stage, used to keep us entertained every weekend with his guitar playing, singing and very bad joke telling! He organised the music for the many ‘does’ we had in the bar.
His main claim to fame was appearing onstage at The Old Opry in Nashville with his band Oregon.
He lost his wife five years ago and never recovered from that. He had his faults as we all do. He was a man I was proud to call a friend.
