Beginning to calm after the storm.

We had a lovely night with our friends. The morning greeted us with sunshine as we set off to return to Aberaeron for a few days. But as we went over the Brecon Beacons the weather deteriorated and for much of the journey the windscreen wipers were working overtime.
We always know when we've had a lot of rain as our cellar floods. There's only an inch of water and experience tells us that it will go down naturally as the water table falls. It does this every few years and we've learnt not to store things directly on the floor so no real harm done. 
Went for a walk in the late afternoon when the rain had stopped and the sun and some blue sky framed a calming sea.
Let's hope for drier weather over the weekend.
